Grain Mill
In order to extract the starch from the malted grains, we have to crack them.
MaltZilla is an electric malt grinder with 2 large diamond rollers, which ensure that the mill cuts the malt, and not just crushes it. This results in much of the skin on the malt remaining intact. This is very beneficial in terms of screening and to avoid stuck mash.
With a built-in 24V motor, powerful enough to easily crush popping malt grains. Some mill manufacturers made grain mills out of steel. In some other high quality mills, the steel is hardened so that the knurling stays sharp longer and attracts more grain. Some other manufacturers try to solve this problem by using gear rollers, so the rollers grab the grain a bit more, or they use 3 rollers where the first two larger gap rollers force the grain into the third roller. These options, in our opinion, do not solve the real problem of dulling these steel cylinders, especially when cracking hard grains. The MaltZilla diamond mill has a completely different design and is the first in the world to use diamonds impregnated into the surface of the cylinder. Even after many tons of grain have been processed in the mill, these diamonds remain as sharp as the first day.

Hopper: The MaltZilla Aluminum Hopper is made of high quality aluminum so it will not rust or break. Thanks to the clever design, all the mounting screws are located on the outside of the hopper, so nothing obstructs the flow of malt during grinding. It has a built-in aluminum finger guard/slide cover. It can hold up to 7 kg of grain at a time.
