You can also use different unmalted grains in your beer. During the malting process, beta-glucan and protein breakdown also take place, so the levels of these are relatively low in most malts. In comparison, flakes are notably high, so using them can give extra character (silkiness, fullness, oiliness) and increased foaminess.

The malts are always sent separately packed for each variety!
