Fits in place of the air-lock, allowing you to easily connect a standard beer side tube to the fermenter.

No modifications to the fermenter are required to use it. Fits perfectly in place of the standard air-lock on your fermenter!

This can come in handy if the fermenter has been overfilled with beer and you're afraid it will spill out through the digester. In such cases, attach a beer-side tube to this adapter and place it in a glass half full of water.

It can also come in handy when cold crashing (cooling the finished beer) to avoid the vacuum created during cooling from sucking oxygen through the dredge. In this case, a carbon dioxide-filled balloon is placed at the end of the same tube. This way, when cooling, the fermenter will suck the carbon dioxide from the balloon and not the oxygen from the room.
