Most of the coriander available in shops is grown in Morocco, while the Indian variety has a more citrusy and spicy flavour. This is a perfect match for the flavours of Belgian wheat beers. The two varieties can be recognised by the fact that the seeds of Indian coriander are slightly more oval, while Moroccan coriander is round.

In addition to hops, you can add many other spices to your beer. Coriander, for example, is an essential ingredient in Belgian wheat beers.

Coriander has been a well-known spice since Roman times. It can be found in many of our dishes, but is also a common spice in drinks (e.g. gin, beer).

Recommended dosage: ~0,5-2g / L

Usage:

Add to beer in the last 10 minutes of boiling. Before use, lightly roast in a dry pan over a low heat to intensify the flavours.
