Suava™ Ale is a modern top-fermenting brewer’s yeast, developed specifically to enhance the aromas of hop-forward beers. Its distinctive feature is its balanced thiol release and biotransformation, which enables the yeast to amplify the fruity aromas derived from the hops during fermentation.
Suava’s character is characterised primarily by notes of white grapes, blackcurrants and intense tropical fruits. It works particularly well in modern, heavily hopped beers, where it not only preserves but also further develops and enhances the hop aroma profile during fermentation.
The yeast has a medium-to-high fermentation rate and low flocculation. Thanks to its haze-positive nature, it promotes the development of a lasting haze, making it a particularly good choice for NEIPA and Hazy IPA-style beers. It is POF-negative, so it does not produce the phenolic, clove-like aromas characteristic of Belgian or wheat beer yeasts.
